I am almost done stitching the light house section and really like how it is
coming along. Believe me...if I accidentally stitch the 'wrong' color
in anything other than the light house, I'm not going to un-stitch it...no
one will know but me.
I plan to do the sky area in 1/2 cross rather than full cross stitches to
save time. You might also consider finding a nice piece of hand
dyed linen that would work well with the colors in the chart - then you
might not have to stitch the sky at all!

Additional Notes or Revisions:
This is a computer generated chart created from my favorite photograph
from our 25th Wedding Anniversary Trip to Maine in September 2005.
The chart contains the full rectangular design so you can stitch it as a
square or oval or what-ever section you like. Maybe you
t house with a few trees and rocks.just want the area around the ligh
The chart is printed with the symbol AND color block so it is easier to
stitch. There are at least 10 pages to this chart/instruction and uses
83 colors - you may choose to change or delete colors that are used for only
a few stitches. Yes there is a chart enclosed that will tell you exactly how
many stitches are used with each color). If you chose to change some
colors I recommend you not stitch them at all until you have most of the
area is completed nearby. One changed stitch might just make a
difference.
Some of the colors chosen by the program may not seem appropriate or
little 'off', HOWEVER...the finished stitched design will be viewed from at
least a few feet away. At that distance your eyes will visually blend
the colors-making it even more impressive than the view you get while you
are stitching.
A computer generated design is more like a painting than a photograph! |
