I am Margaret Lee and this is my wonderful husband Bob.  We live in the beautiful state of Maryland. I have also lived in Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, Virginia and Florida.

 

Designs From Margaret Lee is a small, home based counted thread design business.  I design, stitch, chart & finish all my designs.  Once in a while I do pay someone to stitch my designs or part of them.  I also photograph, format charts, and write the instructions. For digital downloads I make pdfs.  For printed charts I print them at my studio on an normal office printer. Along my path of designing, I developed a few handy needlework tools including The Clear View Thread/Stitch Counters I & II and Needle Park Avenue, which can also be purchased in my Etsy shop.

In the past, I taught many of my counted thread designs at national needlework shows and local needlework shops.  I've been in the Just Cross Stitch Christmas Magazine several times.   One of these days, I will make the time to add more details to my website...

As an  artist, I enjoy designing needlework and  painting pet portraits in oil and watercolor.   I also knit, crochet and make jewelry.​
